A day of laziness — October Blogging Challenge Day 3

Today is Day 3 of the October Blogging Challenge, and today's theme is outfit of the day. Ideally, I would be dressing up in my best clothes, going out to some nice location with great lighting to get some pictures of my cutre dress and my little bag. But, truth be told— I am tired. Weekend in here finally, and after this long slow hard week, all I wanted was sleep and rest and I am getting that today. So, obviously I am in my pajamas all day—  and thats my outfit of the day ! Yes, Tina Fey, you got it right! ...And this is my super-honest Outfit of the day. What's your Outfit of the Day? More importantly, who else shares the same outfit as me? P.S. Friday Feelings

It's Friday, scribblers! I mean, FriYAY.  Today I am feeling a mix of sleep-deprivation, exhaustion, happiness, and excitement- all at the same time. This was an unusually long week for me and I couldn't be happier now that it's almost over. Work was crazy- with long meetings and sessions and people asking more of me. I also wasn’t able to sleep at night (thanks Game of Thrones!) and ended up being so tired and cranky the next day. Even today, it’s all the same, but I see a ray of hope- Weekend! Also, unlike other weekends, this would not be just sitting at home watching Netflix all day- I might actually go out after many weekends!!  Plans for my weekend include: Sleeping: A lot of it. I have to catch up on all the lost sleep over this weekend. I can't afford being a zombie for another week. Tourist-y stuff: A friend of mine is visiting me so this won’t be a boring weekend either. We might go to the Mystery Spot- it is said to me a gravitational ano...

The one with weird dreams

Yes, that's me! I am a big dreamer. There's hardly ever a time when I would have a dreamless sleep. And, I am also able to remember my dreams most of the times- at least bits and pieces. Like with everyone, a lot of those dreams don't make any sense. It's like I am traveling from a scene into another, people morph into different personalities, but sometimes dreams seem to be conveying a message. And today, I'll share some of the weirdest dreams with you and try to analyze them too !  The one with the ex: I am talking to an ex-friend on phone like we were sorting things out or something, and in my mind are all the bad memories of that time of betrayal- this goes on in my dream so it's like something in the mind inside my mind.  I don't forget things and they randomly popup into my head from most unexpected triggers. And those thoughts could be the reason behind these dreams. Every time I get such dreams I get this feeling where I end up wonder...

I am thankful for

1. Naps: I had been in sleep debt for such a long time now, and over this weekend I slept well and a lot, and I feel like I have some energy back.  2. Alone time: My roommate was busy this weekend, and I was all alone- just doing my sleeping, laundry, reading. Like I have said before , it is a recharge for me to spend some time with just myself without the need to talk or be there for others.  3. Work: Past few months were a long, painful wait to get work. I used to hate those days when I was just waiting and it made me feel so worthless. But finally, I have got it! Bonus point: the perfect location- it's a five minute walk to a beautiful park facing a lake. I have been going there every day during lunch.  4. Fights: Normally, fights aren't something people are thankful for. But sometimes they show you how people care for you or how much you mean to them, so yeah today I am thankful for few. 5. A good news: My childhood friend got engaged! Yay!...

7 ways to handle stress in life

The busier life gets, more stressful it becomes. Having a lot on my plate lately, I have felt it even more. And, trying to handle all of it I decided to make a little list of things that help me to handle stress so that I can try to remember them and include them in life. And, since sharing is caring, I want to share it with you too. Take notes- Don't rely on memory. So many times I overestimate myself and think that I will remember everything later, and I have later regretted that. I have started putting things as reminders and taking notes in my planner for things I need to do. Prioritize- Take one thing at a time. This is a very important one, and probably the biggest culprit for my stress. But, now I try to put things on calendar so I have a blueprint for the day. Once you know what is more important, and you get those done, you won't feel so stressed even if you can't get to the last things on the list.. Avoid negative people-  I can't even coun...

Best things in life

It's almost weekend scribblers, and I thought I would share a little list of the best things to me in life. Naps- I love sleeping. Sleeping in late on weekends brings me joy. Even more, I love those days when I get up, eat my breakfast, and then go back for another nap.  Secretly hoping for it to happen this weekend. I also wouldn't mind one any other time of day. Desserts-  Who doesn't like a bite of something sweet? After every meal, I just want something sweet- a mini dessert to finish the meal. Desserts are my comfort food. I love brownies, and cheesecakes. But since I can't eat those everyday, I have my healthier dessert option- dark chocolate with almonds. Hugs- The feeling of relaxing in arms of someone you love makes you feel so calm and safe. Nothing can beat that feeling. Hug it out! Music- Listening to some tunes can always make the day better. It also helps me focus better, it cuts out all other noise at work and I can just do my work while e...

Make a habit, Break a habit!

Last month I participated in the 'Make a habit, break a habit' linkup hosted by My Passion Journey and The Pinnacle Project, and as the new month starts I want to make and break some new habits. For this month, Habit to make - a sleep routine- going to bed at a proper time, and also taking few minutes before bed to take care of my skin Habit to keep - working out and eating healthy foods Habit to break - the compulsion to check every app on my phone before bed (breaking this habit will also help in the habit I am trying to keep) What habits do you wanna make or break?
