A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked.  Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? I decided to make this right and this Memorial Day weekend, I spent my first Touristy day in San Francisco. Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. The Painting Ladies at Alamo Square was our first stop. These are basically just houses with a Victorian architecture and painted with three or more colors. The whole area l...

A day of you

How does it sound, a day dedicated to you? a day of self-care, a day of relaxation, a day of nothing. My perfect day would look something like this: Sleeping till late There's nothing I love more than my morning sleep.  But, thanks to whoever made this 9 to 5 work rule, that doesn't happen much.  My perfect day would definitely mean waking up late. Breakfast in bed Being the lazy ass I am, I tend to just stay in bed even after I am awake.  How wonderful it would be to have someone bring me food in bed. (Hint: Pancakes) Books I can totally picture myself curled up in bed, reading Harry Potter.  I am not strict about having a Harry Potter book, as long as I get to read a good book. Massages They are the best thing ever!  I get so relaxed that I always fall asleep- second chance to sleep in the same day WOW! Hugs and cuddles I definitely would need my dose of love! Doodling I don't think I can go by a whole ...

Picture Perfect Friday: Coffee appreciation

My two favorites: Friends & Harry potter

Anybody who knows me knows how much love I have for F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Harry Potter . It's more than love, like this obsession, so much that my friends get irritated at times. The same weekend as my Disney trip , we also took a trip to the Warner Bros. Studios. I was super-excited! Here are some pictures of one of the best days of my life. Let's first go to Central Perk  I got the black one!  Yes, I sat on that couch!  ...and now to my other love  I looked. Mine wasn't there :-(   I love you Dobby Gryffindor!! I also did send out the Bat-signal  and we ended the day with the mandatory Hollywood sign visit. What a weekend it was! When was your last trip? Where did you go? P.S. Expectations vs. Reality

I can't believe snow is here already. And I had to go attend morning class in this weather. I want to say lovely weather, but I think that would have been more apt if I didn't have to go out.  All I wanna do today is just grab my laptop and sit in a coffee shop all day long, and not worry about a single thing. I wanna drive down to the Starbucks on East H. and sit by a window there, connect my laptop and just relax. Write, read, tweet, read, listen to some music, watch some Friends with a hot Latte and the aroma of fresh brewing coffee.  But, all I am gonna do is attend classes and go gym, and worry about finals next week and the hell lot of assignments this week, while fitting in the lunch and cooking and dinner somewhere between this chaos.  Sometimes I wonder if I even made the right choice. There's no peace in life!
