7 ways to make your day better

Hello scribblers, Happy Monday.. Although if you are anything like me, Mondays aren't really happy- I am still on the weekend times and waking up early is never fun. But, that doesn't mean we can't make the best of it.  Here are a few things that make my day better. Maybe they can make yours better too! Call a friend: I know we are all busy and it's sometimes hard to catch up with the work hours, time differences etc. But, give it a shot. Even a short conversation will brighten your day. Play with a puppy: If I were back home, I'd be doing that all day. But, sadly I cannot right now. If you have a dog, go snuggle with them. Or just play with your neighbor's dog for a while. It's an instant happy dose. Doodle: If you have a long day, especially one with meetings, grab a small notebook and pen and start doodling. You can still listen to what's going on in the meeting while still improving your mood. In fact, some researches show...

7 ways to handle stress in life

The busier life gets, more stressful it becomes. Having a lot on my plate lately, I have felt it even more. And, trying to handle all of it I decided to make a little list of things that help me to handle stress so that I can try to remember them and include them in life. I have started putting things as reminders and taking notes in my planner for things I need to do. Prioritize- Take one thing at a time. This is a very important one, and probably the biggest culprit for my stress. But, now I try to put things on calendar so I have a blueprint for the day. Once you know what is more important, and you get those done, you won't feel so stressed even if you can't get to the last things on the list.. Avoid negative people-  I can't even coun...

7 ways to feel better

We all have those days when nothing feels good, our shoulders are heavy and nobody seems to understand. I have been there too, quite a lot lately . Although we cannot run away from our problems altogether, sometimes we need to shut them out for a while and just focus on picking ourselves up.  Here are some things that always (read: most of the times) work for me: Chocolate:  It is the best endorphin fix there is (for me, at least). A small amount of chocolate , especially dark chocolate, can help elevate moods and induce a sense of pleasure. If you are not used to the darker ones, start adding the darkness gradually- that's what I did; there was a time when I hated dark chocolate, but after reading about its health benefits I started increasing the cacao percentage and now my absolute favorite is Ghirardelli Intense Dark . So, here's another reason for you to splurge*! Hot bath:  Baths can help reduce the stress and tiredness in body, and even help improve ...
