5 Motivational Quotes about Gratitude // Monday Motivation

It's the Thanksgiving week, and we can use a little more gratitude in our life.  So, today I am sharing few quotes about gratitude  to fill our hearts more with love and abundance and to remind us that life isn't bad at all! “Sometimes life knocks you on your ass... get up, get up, get up!!!  Happiness is not the absence of problems, it's the ability to deal with them.”  ― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free “Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart,  it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.”  ― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh “In the end, though, maybe we must all give up trying to pay back the people in this world who sustain our lives. In the end, maybe it's wiser to surrender before the miraculous scope of human generosity and to just keep saying thank you, forever and sincerely, for as long as we have voices.”  ― Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love “When we give chee...

3 Motivational Quotes to start your Monday

It's Monday, again!  This weekend went by pretty quickly for me,  and I for one need some motivation to kick-start the week. The best way to gather some motivation for me is by reading,  and I resonate with quotations a lot. And today, I will share some of those with you guys too! “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” — Albert Einstein “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” — C.S. Lewis “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”  —Will Rogers How do you motivate yourself? What's your favorite quote? P.S. My inspiration— October Blogging Challenge Day 11

We all find inspiration in different things at different times. For some, it is nature, for some it is people. Sometimes it's art, sometimes it's solitude. For me too, there are days when I am inspired by my friends, or co-workers. Also, there are days when just being with me gives me inspiration to do something. But, what moves me most are words.  Even since I was a little kid, I loved to read. I asked for books for my birthday, and I love going to different worlds. As I grew up, writing got added along with it, and more words. Even when I don't have much time to read a book, I still get my dose of inspiration from simple quotes, poems, or excerpts from books. So, for the blogging challenge today, I am sharing some quotes that inspire me. In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. This quote by Robert Frost is my favorite quote, always. I find it really powerful, especially during low points of life. No matter what the s...

Thankful Thursday

'Thank you' is the best prayer that anyone could say. I say that one a lot. Thank you expresses extreme gratitude, humility, understanding.  — Alice Walker I believe in gratitude. I believe in saying thanks- It brings joy to heart and makes us feel blessed for our life and everything in it, which we take for granted most of them times. With so much stress at work and in relationships, it gets harder and harder to see any good. We need to make giving gratitude a practice, a little prayer to say before we doze off each night. I use my blog to share my gratitude for life with you, and t oday, I am thankful for: Blogging:   I am getting back to blogging after over a month now, and it did take a little push to make myself sit and write again, but I am glad to be back. Trips: I have two trips planned for coming months- Portland for the long weekend, and Seattle for my birthday. I am so excited, and am loving the planning! Saturday Nights: A night o...

Is fortune real?

Last night, I went out for dinner with my roommate to P.F. Changs . We had a good time talking and eating- the two most important things for us. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, and she got Oolong chilean Sea bass.  (Honestly, the food was just okay - I've had better!) With the check, we got these different fortune cookies they had made for their Valentine's special. I never eat fortune cookies, but my roommate thought they tasted better than the usual ones. I opened mine, and it said,  "Your heart of gold will soon help a friend in need." This fortune left me in mixed feelings. I do like to help my friends, I have always done so. But lately I have been feeling I do that a lot, but don't get much in return. So, this fortune doesn't make me feel so good. Maybe helping others has nothing to do with happiness. Maybe it just is how my life is. “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorabl...

Five years !!

It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.   ~Rita Rudner An anniversary is a time to celebrate  the joys of today,  the memories of yesterday,  and the hopes of tomorrow. As we grow older together,  As we continue to change with age,  There is one thing that will never change. . .  I will always keep falling in love with you.

Would anyone love me?

“Do you ever wonder  whether people would like you more or less if they could see inside you?  …I always wonder about that. If people could see me the way I see myself —if they could live in my memories —would anyone, anyone, love me?” — John Green

A little reminder!

Hard to let go

Love you even more

Love: Friend or FOE?

We all long to be loved, and to reciprocate that love in return.  We wish, we hope, we daydream,  and make an imaginary world in our heads.  And, someday when we find that one person,  it's like all dreams have come true.  B ut, we tend to forget one thing.  All of our wishes or hopes were in our head,  our imaginary beautiful world.  Reality differs.  No matter how hard you try,  how badly you wish,  it never seems to be enough.  I know I know, life's not all bad.  In fact, life is good.  Even wonderful when that special one comes along.  But, is it fair to put all your dreams and wishes on that person.  Everyone's different;  so is their sensibility and thinking.  Then why do we forget this, and go on expecting.  Even when we know expectation is the root of all heartache, why do we still hope?  Why do we keep building on them, to ...
