Travel Bucket List

More than anything else in world, I want to travel. I am lucky to have travelled to quite a few amazing places already, but there's so much more in the world that I want to see and I am not even close. A few places I have been to include Singapore, New York City, Washington D. C., Pennsylvania, Niagara Falls USA, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Disneyland, Portland, Oregon Coast, Las Vegas, Boston and some more I am sure I am forgetting right now. But, wanderlust doesn't quench. And today I am sharing my current travel bucket list. I say current, because once I cross off a place, new places get added to it.

Santorini

Santorini Travel Bucket List — October Blogging Challenge Day 18

This is one of my favorite places on earth. I can look at pictures from Santorini all day, each one is more beautiful than the other. The colors, the sunsets, the ocean— it's all so beautiful. It seems like the perfect place to be for a vacation— a romantic one would be even better. I remember the first time I saw this places was in the movie Sisterhood of traveling pants, like 7 years ago and I have been wanting to go ever since.

Bali

Bali Travel Bucket List — October Blogging Challenge Day 18

Bali has always remained a close second to Santorini, especially after I read Eat, Pray, Love. The more I read about it, the more I wanted to go. it seems like the place to be for a vacation to relax. Just stay in a retreat, doing nothing, and getting pampered with massages and spas. I can totally imagine myself there. I probably will not spend a month at yoga retreat, losing all the extra weight like it happened in the movie, but wouldn't that be great?

Alaska

Alaska Travel Bucket List — October Blogging Challenge Day 18

I want to witness the northern lights once, and I want to do that in Alaska— mainly because it is a part of the States and I wouldn't need another visa process to go through, and it's still as beautiful as any other place. Apart from the northern lights, I want to make a road trip in Alaska for it has those amazing views and mountains. We tried to plan this trip once before, but it was with a group of friends and group travels sometimes are hard to go through with for various reasons.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam Travel Bucket List — October Blogging Challenge Day 18

I love this city's structure— with all the water canals and the small yet vibrant buildings. I'd love to go on a boat ride through the city, and just walk down the colorful streets and visit the museums. It is also known for its diverse culture, night life (ahem!), and coffee— so that's a plus!

Paris

Paris Travel Bucket List — October Blogging Challenge Day 18

This one is pretty obvious I think, who doesn't wanna go to Paris! It's like a dream destination for every girl. I wanna go to the top of Eiffel Tower, and eat dinner at the restaurant there. I have this thing for eating in places with views. I have done this at the Eiffel Tower in Vegas! And, I wanna walk down the streets while I eat Ladurée macaroons.

London

London Travel Bucket List — October Blogging Challenge Day 18

I have flied through London several times, but never got a chance to get out of the airport. I would like to have a long layover, if not a full vacation, someday to explore this Harry Potter city. I want to see the Kings Cross station, and try to enter Platform 9 ¾  to go to the magical land. I do suspect it might not work since I never got my letter from Dumbledore, but worth a try still.

Sydney

Sydney Travel Bucket List — October Blogging Challenge Day 18

You didn't think I'd forget the land down under, did you? I have seen this place in several YouTube videos, and also one of my best friends lives there so I have seen all the beauty this place has. I have never seen a kangaroo so that will be #1 on this trip. And also, reunion with friends would be great!

I don't know when any of these plans will happen, but then again we can't plan much in future. Travel also isn't cheap, so I know this is all going to take time and savings. Also, this is not all that can happen— there can be other unplanned surprises too. One thing I do know is that if you really really want something, life gives it to you. And this is the only thing I want to do with my life— travel!

What's on your travel bucket list?

A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked.  Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? I decided to make this right and this Memorial Day weekend, I spent my first Touristy day in San Francisco. Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. The Painting Ladies at Alamo Square was our first stop. These are basically just houses with a Victorian architecture and painted with three or more colors. The whole area l...

Transient Tuesdays: Don’t Be Afraid of Change

There are two types of people: those who fear change and those who actively pursue. I have always been an active pursuer of change, while my brother was not. I was the kid who changed my after school activity until I found what I really loved, with no fear at all. I was the one who changed my hair in middle school, who became a leader in a club during my freshmen year of high school, and who insisted on touring the country at 17.  Change is a choice, and is an active endeavor. And so is not changing. We decide the direction our lives take, and we can either do so with fear or with confidence. Making changes keeps life the way you want it, on the track you wish to take, and is completely you’re choice what to do, or not do. Change shouldn't scare you, because it’s a tool to help you make your life just the way you want. Although staying where you are is comforting, change can make you grow and improve your situation. So go change your hair, your job, your city, or w...

Transient Tuesdays: Create change

Imagine a world where everything remained unchanged. That would mean no age, no time, no movement and of course no development. If you ask me, I see no difference between death and remaining static. When was the last time you did something new?  How long have you been sticking to a routine and disregarded the idea of doing something new for a change? Is any of your bad habits causing you pain?  You realize you have to change but simply can't bring yourself to do it?   Do you fear changing will jeopardize your present circumstances? I’m sure many of you will be able to relate to these questions. The fact that you're reading this means you want to take the steps and turn your life around. You must be aware how important change is to our survival. Change is mandatory. Change is constant. Change is inevitable. Change is everywhere and present in the most minute of things. It's happening to you as you read this. So, why do we shy away from...
