Halloween Costumes Recap

Normally I plan everything way in advance, and to great detail. But somehow Halloween has always been excluded from the planning. Maybe it has something to do with the probability of plans getting last minute and me not wanting to waste money on an expensive costume that I may or may not wear. So, each time a few DIYs and random accessories at home or grocery store aisles have been there for me. Sometimes I have been a princess with just a tiara, or a devil with red horns, or an egg. The egg one has been my favorite so far— also it was a couples costume. There was a very last minute invite to a friend's house party and we just googled a few DIY options and this was the only one that seemed doable on such short notice. A short trip to Walmart, few colored charts, scissors, glue, ribbon, and TADA!

I just got a Halloween party invite today, and the same struggle starts now. Maybe I'll get a minion costume this time— check this one out! Or maybe another DIY? It's so hard to decide.

A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked. Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. There are two types of people: those who fear change and those who actively pursue. I have always been an active pursuer of change, while my brother was not. I was the kid who changed my after school activity until I found what I really loved, with no fear at all. I was the one who changed my hair in middle school, who became a leader in a club during my freshmen year of high school, and who insisted on touring the country at 17. Change is a choice, and is an active endeavor. And so is not changing. We decide the direction our lives take, and we can either do so with fear or with confidence. Imagine a world where everything remained unchanged. That would mean no age, no time, no movement and of course no development. If you ask me, I see no difference between death and remaining static. When was the last time you did something new? How long have you been sticking to a routine and disregarded the idea of doing something new for a change? Is any of your bad habits causing you pain?
