5 things on my shopping list

shopping-list

1. Slip-on shoes: As much as I love heels, flats are my go-to shoes. And I really love TOMS slip-on shoes, so they definitely go to the top of my shopping list. I found these jutti style shoes and I WANT THEM SO BAD!!

2. Colorblock Tote: For a long time I have been looking for a bag which I can use while travelling or on short trips. Yes, I am a girl and I need space in my bag. I came across this bag on Kohl's website, and I have kept it in my cart for few days thinking I might change my mind later (I usually do this so I can avoid the regret of spending on something I didn't really want.)  Looks like I really do want it, and since there is need too- this will have to go on my shopping list.

3. Fountain pens: I love to write- journal, letters, and I recently remembered how much I liked that phase in middle school when we used fountain pens. I found this Varsity fountain pen set on Amazon, and on the up side- it comes in 7 colors!

4. Planner stickers: I am currently obsessed with my planner and thanks to Instagram I came across a world of planner stickers. I just want to buy them all, they are super cute. I won't call this a needed item on my shopping list, but I am in love with planning now.

5. Arborea dress: I found this dress at Anthropologie, and I just love the patterns in this dress. It is a bit expensive for me right now, so this will be hanging on in my shopping list for few more days I guess.

  2. @Lindsay I am glad to be of help :)
I too love heels, but I have had days when I couldn't even walk by the lunch time so I would spend every minute sitting in my chair waiting for the day to get over!

  4. I've seen juttis at the local Indian grocer and have been thinking about getting a pair. I found a similar color blocked tote from Coach last year, but it was HUGE and I'm only 5'2", so I'm still looking. Disposable fountain pens? I am now excited about office supplies again. Time for spring shopping.

A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked.  Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? I decided to make this right and this Memorial Day weekend, I spent my first Touristy day in San Francisco. Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. The Painting Ladies at Alamo Square was our first stop. These are basically just houses with a Victorian architecture and painted with three or more colors. The whole area l

What if ... ?

What if — an agonizing feeling that no one is spared from.  We all find ourselves in situations where we look back and think about things we  have done, things we should have done, things we should not have done, or things we should have done differently. They are not necessarily regrets, but more of questioning and second-guessing the choices we have made. I for one get this feeling a lot, and I find myself thinking about how life could have been if my choices would have been different.  What if I studied harder in school:   I would have gotten into a better college with more opportunities, which means better job and satisfaction. But, who can guarantee that would have happened- so I'd rather be happy about the other things I did and not just study all the time. What if I stayed at my old job:  I would have gotten to be roommates with my best friend for a much longer time, and would have definitely enjoyed more and I wouldn’t be stressed because of studying, assi
