Weekend things — October Blogging Challenge Day 12

Weekend things — October Blogging Challenge Day 12

This weekend wasn't too eventful for me, as I would categorize it as a chore weekend. Usually I like to make a day trip or something at least one day, and just be lazy on the other. But this weekend I had some things to do, and that makes it a little less fun.

Friday evening I got invited for dinner and drinks with friends. I met some new people— we ate, drank, and talked. It got pretty late by the time I got home, but it was a fun evening.

Saturday morning I had a Mani pedi appointment. Although I had to get up early and it isn't my favorite thing to do, I really loved the massage with pedicure. Also, cute nails! Later that day was completely spent apartment hunting. I want to move closer to work so I can reduce the commute hours and also miles on my car. I liked one place, so I'll call it a success. I still have some time on my current lease so there's no rush to just settle already.

Sunday morning was a sleepy morning. I woke up late and the first thing I had to do was grocery shopping. That's what happens when you slack all week, and eat everything. I also put together the corner bookshelves I had ordered. Now my desk is clutter free and my room looks pretty. Rest of the day was cooking, cleaning, workout and catching up on writing and blogging.

That was my weekend. Tell me about yours.

A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked.  Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? I decided to make this right and this Memorial Day weekend, I spent my first Touristy day in San Francisco. Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. The Painting Ladies at Alamo Square was our first stop. These are basically just houses with a Victorian architecture and painted with three or more colors. The whole area l...

Hey...

Hi lovelies, How are you, and how's everything else in life going? Well, I think I am writing this one too soon, but, never mind! I just had time today, as my test got postponed and thus I am feeling bit relaxed. But, it will happen next week. Alas! (I'm such a procrastinator.)  Life's got very hectic and busy, plus tiring. Every day I get up at 7 AM, go to office, come back after 7 PM. And its goes on the same way daily. I get so tired by the end of day that the only thing I can think of is going to my bed. I can't even study, which is very important. Leaving that aside, I want to explore and move about this place. I feel that since we have got the chance to be here, why not take advantage of the chance. But my friend who's staying with me here isn't very supportive in this case. So, I end up being in the room only! Well, now I'm gonna sign off and study a bit. I had a test today and didn't score well. So I'm worried now. I hope I do well in othe...

3 Motivational Quotes to start your Monday

It's Monday, again!  This weekend went by pretty quickly for me,  and I for one need some motivation to kick-start the week. The best way to gather some motivation for me is by reading,  and I resonate with quotations a lot. And today, I will share some of those with you guys too! “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” — Albert Einstein “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” — C.S. Lewis “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”  —Will Rogers How do you motivate yourself? What's your favorite quote? P.S.
