Transient Tuesdays: Change

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

Transient Tuesdays: Change

My life has been about change – My life unexpectedly changed at 18 years old when a blood clot landed me in a coma, and the past decade since then has been all about healing, changing, growing and evolving. For me, I tend to look outwards for guidance on how exactly to change. I find such solace in the world of nature around me. To watch the trees transitioning with the seasons helps me tune in to what I need to change internally, or the new direction I am to follow.

Transient Tuesdays: Change

Just as Summer accelerates towards a spectacular Autumn gust, I have learned that there is a time to say goodbye to old childhood memories and take on a new, deeper identity, ,based in who I was, yet shaped by what has happened to me.

And just as winter eventually thaws to make way for Spring peonies, I have learned that all good things do take time – and late bloomers and beautiful too!

Transient Tuesdays: Change

I wanted to share this wonderful song about change and transitions from the Broadway show “Carnival” called “Mira”.  This is a recording of me singing this years ago, trying to come to terms with how my life had changed so suddenly, and had changed me as well.  Yet, I still yearned to feel like myself.  How do we get back to “Mira” – a place where “everybody knows our name” when life keepings changing…

And that’s the question I leave you with today – how can we continue to change and grow while still feeling that same Self that we woke up to this world with?

And as REO Speedwagon says, just roll with the changes!!!

Transient Tuesdays: Change

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
― Lao Tzu

Transient Tuesdays: Change
“I am an artist, performer, musician, foodie, creator, and life-lover on a beautiful detour after at age 18, a sudden blood clot caused me to fall into a coma for months. Piecing together my life after my initial dreams of performing musical theatre took a turn into broader horizons. I believe it is my mission to spread messages of hope and strength while doing what I love to do, which is CREATE. Art, Music, Theatre, Writing - the world is full of everyday miracles and beautiful detours...” You can find more information on my website at"

5 Motivational Quotes about Gratitude // Monday Motivation

It's the Thanksgiving week, and we can use a little more gratitude in our life.  So, today I am sharing few quotes about gratitude  to fill our hearts more with love and abundance and to remind us that life isn't bad at all!

“Sometimes life knocks you on your ass... get up, get up, get up!!!  Happiness is not the absence of problems, it's the ability to deal with them.”  ― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free

“Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart,  it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.”  ― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

“In the end, though, maybe we must all give up trying to pay back the people in this world who sustain our lives. In the end, maybe it's wiser to surrender before the miraculous scope of human generosity and to just keep saying thank you, forever and sincerely, for as long as we have voices.”  ― Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love

“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.”  ― Maya Angelou
