Can't get off the bed

I've been off-blogging lately. Reason? I don't know. I tried to write, but every time I was kind of blank. I tried using quotes, reading etc. to help me, but all in vain. But, now I think something worked. I am not sure though, what that something is. I re-arranged my room, mainly my computer area yesterday. I guess that helped. Another thing could be that I woke up really early, and I've had a fresh morning, which is a debut for me. Well, whatever it is, I'm happy with it.

One thing I realized today- "getting up early is not much a problem, getting out of bed is." Yes, it's really true. Once you manage to pull yourself out of bed, it's all OK. But, the first part is the problem. But then, we can have all the sleep while we can, can't we? ;)

  4. Right now I have a few weeks before I start my new job, so while I wake up at 6:30 every single morning, I can't get my butt out of bed. I so know how you feel. I've been in a little bit of a blogging funk. I haven't loved what I've been writing lately, but for me I need to just keep writing and hopefully it will get better.

  7. Yeah, I wake up so much earlier than I actually have to so I can just lay in bed for awhile!

  8. That's actually a great thing to do if you can. I have tried, but I fail most of the times. But a few times when that has happened, I was much more refreshed and happier during the day.

  9. I am in the exact same spot - exhausted, eating crappy, no motivation to craft or blog. Glad I'm not the only one. Sometimes we just have to indulge in it and the break makes us better writers when we get back to it. There are also writing prompts that you can look up and I find those quite helpful. C'mon mojo! (for both of us!!)

  12. I hear ya! I have been struggling lately as well! We are doing state testing right now (I am a SPED teacher) and I have just been too exhausted. I have about 5 or so posts I have started and never finished at this point! Maybe once testing is over I will be back to it!
    I hope you find inspiration!

  13. I hate getting out of bed in the morning I always press the sleep button on the alarm every morning at least twice, before dragging myself out of bed. I have many a times I go blank when trying to put together a post, the other night I just sat their trying to come up with ideas, I ended up turning off the computer and leaving it to another day when the ideas are flowing :)

  14. haha.. that's a good way out. I too thought of doing one a while back, but I wasn't sure if I would stick to it all the way till Z. So, with the self-doubt I dropped the idea!

  16. I sometimes wish there weren't any snooze buttons, so I would get out of bed sooner. This morning I played the snooze game for 45 minutes. :-/ I often find myself switching to YouTube, Netflix etc. when the brain won't work, when I should actually not do that and try to make it work... Ugh, distractions!

A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked.  Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? I decided to make this right and this Memorial Day weekend, I spent my first Touristy day in San Francisco. Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. The Painting Ladies at Alamo Square was our first stop. These are basically just houses with a Victorian architecture and painted with three or more colors. The whole area l

What if ... ?

What if — an agonizing feeling that no one is spared from.  We all find ourselves in situations where we look back and think about things we  have done, things we should have done, things we should not have done, or things we should have done differently. They are not necessarily regrets, but more of questioning and second-guessing the choices we have made. I for one get this feeling a lot, and I find myself thinking about how life could have been if my choices would have been different.  What if I studied harder in school:   I would have gotten into a better college with more opportunities, which means better job and satisfaction. But, who can guarantee that would have happened- so I'd rather be happy about the other things I did and not just study all the time. What if I stayed at my old job:  I would have gotten to be roommates with my best friend for a much longer time, and would have definitely enjoyed more and I wouldn’t be stressed because of studying, assi
