Then I went on to packing, which is another hard thing for me to do. I love everything I have and not being able to fit it into my luggage is painful. I have to either throw it, donate it, or just leave behind in hope of getting it later. At moments like this, I think I just shouldn't buy things because goodbyes are just too damn hard. I have two bags already, and two I am leaving behind to get later, and still I have so much that I will just have to get rid of. Moving is a pain, and I hope my nomad life gets over soon and I can make a home for me.
1. Naps: I had been in sleep debt for such a long time now, and over this weekend I slept well and a lot, and I feel like I have some energy back. 2. Alone time: My roommate was busy this weekend, and I was all alone- just doing my sleeping, laundry, reading. Like I have said before , it is a recharge for me to spend some time with just myself without the need to talk or be there for others. 3. Work: Past few months were a long, painful wait to get work. I used to hate those days when I was just waiting and it made me feel so worthless. But finally, I have got it! Bonus point: the perfect location- it's a five minute walk to a beautiful park facing a lake. I have been going there every day during lunch. 4. Fights: Normally, fights aren't something people are thankful for. But sometimes they show you how people care for you or how much you mean to them, so yeah today I am thankful for few. 5. A good news: My childhood friend got engaged! Yay!...
De-cluttering is such a hard thing for me too...I always want to hold on to everything.

ReplyDeleteIt can bedifficult to let go of some stuff, but you'll feel better once you have less of it. Good luck on the move.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this! A couple years ago I won a decluttering challenge where I totally transformed my basement. I ended up donating over 20 huge boxes of stuff to charity, it was an amazing feeling. It was like a weight lifted off my shoulders and I had less stuff to rummage through when I needed something.

Most I initially followed have stopped. I will be following along to see who is recommended to follow. I'd love to find some new ones myself.
ReplyDeleteI literally just went through all of my clothes the other day and ended up giving a vast majority of them away. I do this a couple times of year. My husband forces us to go through our stuff throughout the entire house and yard at least once. Of course, his mother is a major hoarder!

ReplyDeleteThe same thing happens with Twitter - I have to keep unfollowing people to make room for new ones and the ones that haven't posted for the longest time always seem to be really interesting
