My two favorites: Friends & Harry potter

Anybody who knows me knows how much love I have for F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Harry Potter. It's more than love, like this obsession, so much that my friends get irritated at times.

The same weekend as my Disney trip, we also took a trip to the Warner Bros. Studios.
I was super-excited!

Here are some pictures of one of the best days of my life.

Let's first go to Central Perk
 I got the black one!

Yes, I sat on that couch!

...and now to my other love

 I looked. Mine wasn't there :-(

 I love you Dobby

Gryffindor!!

I also did send out the Bat-signal

and we ended the day with the mandatory Hollywood sign visit.

What a weekend it was!

When was your last trip? Where did you go?

  1. Love all of this! You are the second person I've seen posting about Harry Potter and I seriously so bummed that I didn't go this year. We were thinking about going before our second kid was born, but financially we just couldn't pull it together. I can't believe they still have the Central Perk sound stage up!

    1. Yeah, they still have all of it but in a really compact space. You really can't touch anything except the couch to take pictures on :( and they only let you be there for like 10 minutes max but I am still happy I could go there.. I hope you get to do your Happy Potter trip soon. I plan to go to the Florida one this year (hopefully)

    1. It is a short 2-hr tour, where they show you all the open sets and the museums like Harry Potter, Batman etc. Sadly, Big Bang Theory set was closed when we were there. But, it was fun visiting the rest of it!

A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked.  Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? I decided to make this right and this Memorial Day weekend, I spent my first Touristy day in San Francisco. Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. The Painting Ladies at Alamo Square was our first stop. These are basically just houses with a Victorian architecture and painted with three or more colors. The whole area l...

3 Motivational Quotes to start your Monday

It's Monday, again!  This weekend went by pretty quickly for me,  and I for one need some motivation to kick-start the week. The best way to gather some motivation for me is by reading,  and I resonate with quotations a lot. And today, I will share some of those with you guys too! “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” — Albert Einstein “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” — C.S. Lewis “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”  —Will Rogers How do you motivate yourself? What's your favorite quote? P.S. Transient Tuesdays: Don’t Be Afraid of Change

There are two types of people: those who fear change and those who actively pursue. I have always been an active pursuer of change, while my brother was not. I was the kid who changed my after school activity until I found what I really loved, with no fear at all. I was the one who changed my hair in middle school, who became a leader in a club during my freshmen year of high school, and who insisted on touring the country at 17.  Change is a choice, and is an active endeavor. And so is not changing. We decide the direction our lives take, and we can either do so with fear or with confidence. Making changes keeps life the way you want it, on the track you wish to take, and is completely you’re choice what to do, or not do. Change shouldn't scare you, because it’s a tool to help you make your life just the way you want. Although staying where you are is comforting, change can make you grow and improve your situation. So go change your hair, your job, your city, or w...
