My big move

This last weekend was my big move across country. I am starting a new job soon, so new city new place. It is pretty exciting; I am thinking about home decor ALL THE TIME! I know it is going to take time set up the place and it will be one thing at a time, but I can't stop. I even made a Pinterest board for decor ideas- Check it out!  But along with all the excitement, it is also scary and overwhelming. There is SO MUCH to do. And having to do it alone, makes it even scarier. For every little thing you have to make a decision yourself, and some of those have to be quick. On top of that, unpacking is so damn hard. I am just procrastinating most of the time because I dread it. Plus I have no furniture to put my stuff in. But, slowly doing what I can. And, like every big thing, this big move also comes with some realizations: You need food and sleep. In a long list of things to do, these two tend to take a back seat. But our body has a way of reminding us their importance ...

That one time in Disneyland

Since I am back in the land of sunshine, I was reminiscing about the day when I was here the last time. Hanging out with friends all the time, starting on Monday to make plans for next weekend, travelling like it's the last chance to do so. I had the most fun in those six months, and I look forward to re-live some of it and make new memories. Here are some pictures from my awesome trip to Disneyland!  Like everything else, it's the people around you that make these moments special.  I am lucky to have found great friends in life! --------------------------------------------------------- P.S. Let's get social!

Expectations vs. Reality

I can't believe snow is here already. And I had to go attend morning class in this weather. I want to say lovely weather, but I think that would have been more apt if I didn't have to go out.  All I wanna do today is just grab my laptop and sit in a coffee shop all day long, and not worry about a single thing. I wanna drive down to the Starbucks on East H. and sit by a window there, connect my laptop and just relax. Write, read, tweet, read, listen to some music, watch some Friends with a hot Latte and the aroma of fresh brewing coffee.  But, all I am gonna do is attend classes and go gym, and worry about finals next week and the hell lot of assignments this week, while fitting in the lunch and cooking and dinner somewhere between this chaos.  Sometimes I wonder if I even made the right choice. There's no peace in life!

I am thankful for

1. A fun birthday dinner. Though it didn't go as was planned,  it still turned out to be a lot of fun. 2. Phone calls. Talking to almost all my friends, and my family, it makes me happy. 3. One less assignment to do. Always a good news. 4. Less stress.  Good sleep. 5. Gifts Now I get good music, and great pictures. 6. Starting gym again. I better keep going now. 7. Starting writing again.  I wanna keep doing it always. What are you thankful for?

Me, in the States!

It's almost 5 months since I moved to States. And just today I realized how I am still settling here! In the beginning I thought it's not that different, I still don't think there's any drastic change but there are little things. Little things in everyday life that are so different. The lifestyle, priorities, everything is different. I do like it here, I feel free somehow.  Being on my own is one thing I always liked. Plus I have also got good company here (something I don't think I can live without.) I feel lucky for that, 'coz it really made my life easy here. Sometimes I wonder how would it be if I was all alone here, not knowing anyone at all. Bit scary. I am liking it here, loving it.  It's just a little hard adjusting to the study patterns and workloads, and the always running, fast paced life. I just wanna get used to it really soon, and do good in my study. And make a good life for myself.!
