February Goals

Participating in the Make a habit, break a habit linkup yesterday got me thinking. Every year we all set up a bunch of goals for ourselves, which we may or may not achieve. I fall in the latter categories mostly. So, I have decided to take a problem solving approach and break it down to more achievable goals and hold myself accountable each month.

For February I am a few days late, but better late than never, right? Here's my list:
  • Finish READING the book (A million little pieces) I started few months ago, but never finished because of my laziness
  • WORKOUT at least 21 days this month - making a habit
  • Stay active on BLOG , I'd say 4 times a week maybe.
  • Write in my JOURNAL every day- one liners would do!
  • STUDY consistently- more than 3 days a week.
I will be back with update on this at end of month. Wish me luck!

P.S. I also found these old February goals.
Also, check out my linkup goals.

What are your goals?

  1. I love that one of your goals is to write more in your journal! I was really good about it last year - up until the holidays. Sigh. :) I need to pick it back up again. Good luck with your February goals! :)

  2. Have you heard of the "line a day" journals?? They allow you to write just a sentence or two everyday of the year and then it repeats on the same page the next year- you keep it for several years and can see what you were doing on that day for the past five years. I love journaling this way!
I'm so glad you linked up with us! I hope you meet all your goals for the month!

A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked.  Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? I decided to make this right and this Memorial Day weekend, I spent my first Touristy day in San Francisco. Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. The Painting Ladies at Alamo Square was our first stop. These are basically just houses with a Victorian architecture and painted with three or more colors. The whole area l

What if ... ?

What if — an agonizing feeling that no one is spared from.  We all find ourselves in situations where we look back and think about things we  have done, things we should have done, things we should not have done, or things we should have done differently. They are not necessarily regrets, but more of questioning and second-guessing the choices we have made. I for one get this feeling a lot, and I find myself thinking about how life could have been if my choices would have been different.  What if I studied harder in school:   I would have gotten into a better college with more opportunities, which means better job and satisfaction. But, who can guarantee that would have happened- so I'd rather be happy about the other things I did and not just study all the time. What if I stayed at my old job:  I would have gotten to be roommates with my best friend for a much longer time, and would have definitely enjoyed more and I wouldn’t be stressed because of studying, assi

Weird Wednesday

I have been feeling a little weird last few days. Not sad or anything- just weird. I don't know why either. But, that's just how I feel- very weird. So, that's what I will write about today. Feelings: I have this weird feeling all day- I keep feeling restless most of the times like I am forgetting something, like I am not doing something I should be doing, like I need to be someplace, I can't really work these days, and I can't sleep. I am even getting up before I need to in the morning. That is not me! I am someone who sleeps till noon, and needs to be dragged out of bed in morning- that is who I am, that is how I like, and that is how I want it to be. Dear sleep, please come back.  Snakes: The other day, me and my friend went for our usual walk on the trail behind our office. It is a beautiful walk by the lake, and it is like a daily thing for us now. She was telling me about her colleague who had seen a snake on the trail once. And honestly I though
