Dusting the brain!

Hello readers,

How's life treating you all?
Me? I have gone to studying now, for I have exams lining up ahead of me.
Today was my second day at class. First class for Maths. And I was surprised how piles of dust have settled on my brain in just one year. I had almost forgotten how I loved doing Maths, and as I went through the class, I was like, 'Oh yea, I knew this, I know this!' It might sound funny, but I felt kind of disappointed with myself, for letting my brain go, sort of, dumb. Well, I am gonna study now, and free myself of all the dust of time. Right now, I am loving it. I hope it continues...

Read an amazing quote today:
"PROBLEMS will make you realize how many TRUE FRIENDS you've got out of your hundred SO-CALLED FRIENDS."

Sorry for the lack of blogging. Going under pile of books for a while. But, that doesn't mean total absence and I will be back to normal pace very soon.

I really wonder how people sit for long hours continuously to study. Are you one of those? Can I please borrow your strength and dedication for a while?

  2. Good luck with your studies!

When I was in school I could do homework for six hours in a row but studding for a test was impossible for more than an hour at a time - weird huh?!

A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked.  Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? I decided to make this right and this Memorial Day weekend, I spent my first Touristy day in San Francisco. Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. The Painting Ladies at Alamo Square was our first stop. These are basically just houses with a Victorian architecture and painted with three or more colors. The whole area l

What if ... ?

What if — an agonizing feeling that no one is spared from.  We all find ourselves in situations where we look back and think about things we  have done, things we should have done, things we should not have done, or things we should have done differently. They are not necessarily regrets, but more of questioning and second-guessing the choices we have made. I for one get this feeling a lot, and I find myself thinking about how life could have been if my choices would have been different.  What if I studied harder in school:   I would have gotten into a better college with more opportunities, which means better job and satisfaction. But, who can guarantee that would have happened- so I'd rather be happy about the other things I did and not just study all the time. What if I stayed at my old job:  I would have gotten to be roommates with my best friend for a much longer time, and would have definitely enjoyed more and I wouldn’t be stressed because of studying, assi

Fitness: the real struggle

Try googling the world "fitness" and you get around 1.5 billion results in under a second. With that much amount of information, one would think it is achievable. Not that it isn't but it definitely isn't an easy journey. I personally have struggled with it for a large part of my life thus far and with very little success. So, obviously this is something that's on my mind a lot. Yes, we can aim at working out 5 days a week and come up with a healthy plan to follow. But, it isn't that simple. It's not just us and the plan- there are several other factors that throw us off. Work:  We all have things we need to do, and sometimes these things demand more attention than we have in mind. Be it long hours of work, or much needed family time, or giving attention to kids- life gets in the way of the fitness goals. Peer pressure: It's the hard truth- you are all alone in this journey. Friends and family don't really provide the support you mig
