Thankyou!

Yes!
My birthday went good.
Not actually one day- it was like a whole birthday week.
My birthday this year coincided with Diwali,
so I could not go out and celebrate.
But, still it was a good busy day with family and relatives, we did shopping, travelling, followed by a dinner with family and Diwali celebrations.

Next day, was the combined birthday treat by me and my friend. It was great fun being together!

The next day was again busy because of travelling, but was really sweet and special in the end. (I got a lovely birthday gift which was very much unexpected this time.)
All of it was a great time.

And today is another birthday, my younger sister's.
I wish the best of life for her!

P.S. Thanks to all my readers for their sweet wishes :)
And special thanks to Aubrey for the award.

A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked.  Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? I decided to make this right and this Memorial Day weekend, I spent my first Touristy day in San Francisco. Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. The Painting Ladies at Alamo Square was our first stop. These are basically just houses with a Victorian architecture and painted with three or more colors. The whole area l...

3 Motivational Quotes to start your Monday

It's Monday, again!  This weekend went by pretty quickly for me,  and I for one need some motivation to kick-start the week. The best way to gather some motivation for me is by reading,  and I resonate with quotations a lot. And today, I will share some of those with you guys too! “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” — Albert Einstein “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” — C.S. Lewis “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”  —Will Rogers How do you motivate yourself? What's your favorite quote? P.S. Transient Tuesdays: Don’t Be Afraid of Change

There are two types of people: those who fear change and those who actively pursue. I have always been an active pursuer of change, while my brother was not. I was the kid who changed my after school activity until I found what I really loved, with no fear at all. I was the one who changed my hair in middle school, who became a leader in a club during my freshmen year of high school, and who insisted on touring the country at 17.  Change is a choice, and is an active endeavor. And so is not changing. We decide the direction our lives take, and we can either do so with fear or with confidence. Making changes keeps life the way you want it, on the track you wish to take, and is completely you’re choice what to do, or not do. Change shouldn't scare you, because it’s a tool to help you make your life just the way you want. Although staying where you are is comforting, change can make you grow and improve your situation. So go change your hair, your job, your city, or w...
