Representation

Finally, I seem to be successful in pushing myself out of the bad mood swings, and so I am back here. I went to my home yesterday, and I think that helped me a great deal. Also, I got a sound sleep after a long time which makes me relaxed and happy. Plus, I met two of my friends, a bonus!

I came across some lines while reading a magazine so thought of sharing them with you, my readers.

"If you think you are bad at judging people, don't blame yourself for that. For the first six months (at least), people in relationships don't really meet each other, they just meet representatives of each other. Representatives that put their best face on." And this does not apply to just love relationships, its with every relation that we have to make. Whenever we meet people, personally or professionally, friends or colleagues, this applies everywhere i think. People are too nice and sweet initially. Its after some time has passed that they start failing to carry on with representations and their real self comes to the surface. And that's when either best of friendships are made or the worst of differences come up. Don't you think so?

P.S. Thank you readers for all your wishes on my last posts :o) You guys (I mean girls) really make me happy!

  5. that quote really is true. and i guess sometimes you get lucky that the representative is actually the person underneath..other times you're completely surprised when their true colors show. i've definitley witnessed both! have a great day beautiful!

  6. I've never really thought of it that way until now, but I think you might be right. People have representatives of themselves that they use as fronts for people to meet... hmmm. Makes me think more...

I'm happy that you're doing okay now!

  7. This made a very good point. And I feel like even sometimes the representative phase doesn't even last six months. Some people just stop caring. I knew that plenty of people put on a sweet face to rope people in.. but I didn't think everyone did it.

Glad to have you back. :)

p.s. What time zone are you in? Here, I think I'm awake early, and yet you've posted (hours ago, it says) AND people have had time to make comments.

A day in San Francisco — Memorial Day

If you have followed my blog for sometime, you probably know about my big move across coast. It's been a few months being a Cali resident, but I haven't gotten out as much as I would have liked.  Maybe once we move to a place, it kinda loses the tourist charm that it has when we visit for a weekend. Don't you think? I decided to make this right and this Memorial Day weekend, I spent my first Touristy day in San Francisco. Like anything else, I made a long list of places to see, and spread it across three days based on distance proximity. Yes, it was a whole weekend plan but life get in way and hence it ended up being just a day trip. The day started with a little detour at Bay Trail, near Shoreline Park, followed by a quick brunch at Crepe Vine and a beautiful long drive to the city. The Painting Ladies at Alamo Square was our first stop. These are basically just houses with a Victorian architecture and painted with three or more colors. The whole area l...

Hey...

Hi lovelies, How are you, and how's everything else in life going? Well, I think I am writing this one too soon, but, never mind! I just had time today, as my test got postponed and thus I am feeling bit relaxed. But, it will happen next week. Alas! (I'm such a procrastinator.)  Life's got very hectic and busy, plus tiring. Every day I get up at 7 AM, go to office, come back after 7 PM. And its goes on the same way daily. I get so tired by the end of day that the only thing I can think of is going to my bed. I can't even study, which is very important. Leaving that aside, I want to explore and move about this place. I feel that since we have got the chance to be here, why not take advantage of the chance. But my friend who's staying with me here isn't very supportive in this case. So, I end up being in the room only! Well, now I'm gonna sign off and study a bit. I had a test today and didn't score well. So I'm worried now. I hope I do well in othe...

3 Motivational Quotes to start your Monday

It's Monday, again!  This weekend went by pretty quickly for me,  and I for one need some motivation to kick-start the week. The best way to gather some motivation for me is by reading,  and I resonate with quotations a lot. And today, I will share some of those with you guys too! “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” — Albert Einstein “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” — C.S. Lewis “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”  —Will Rogers How do you motivate yourself? What's your favorite quote? P.S.
