It's almost 5 months since I moved to States.
And just today I realized how I am still settling here!

In the beginning I thought it's not that different,
I still don't think there's any drastic change but there are little things.
Little things in everyday life that are so different.
The lifestyle, priorities, everything is different.

I do like it here, I feel free somehow.

Being on my own is one thing I always liked.
Plus I have also got good company here (something I don't think I can live without.)
I feel lucky for that, 'coz it really made my life easy here.
Sometimes I wonder how would it be if I was all alone here, not knowing anyone at all.
Bit scary.

I am liking it here, loving it.

It's just a little hard adjusting to the study patterns and workloads,
and the always running, fast paced life.

I just wanna get used to it really soon, and do good in my study.
And make a good life for myself.!

I am thankful for

1: Going to gym regularly.

6. Less snow.

Can't get off the bed

I've been off-blogging lately. Reason? I don't know. I tried to write, but every time I was kind of typeless. I tried using quotes, reading etc. to help me, but all in vain. But, now I think something worked. I am not sure though, what that something is. I re-arranged my room, mainly my computer area yesterday. I guess that helped. Another thing could be that I woke up really early, and I've had a fresh morning, which is a debut for me. Well, whatever it is, I'm happy with it.

One thing I realized today- "getting up early is not much a problem, getting out of bed is." Yes, it's really true. Once you manage to pull yourself out of bed, it's all OK. But, the first part is the problem. But then, we can have all the sleep while we can, can't we? ;)

We all long to be loved, and to reciprocate that love in return. We wish, we hope, we daydream, and make an imaginary world in our heads. And, someday when we find that one person, it's like all dreams have come true. But, we tend to forget one thing. All of our wishes or hopes were in our head, our imaginary beautiful world. Reality differs. No matter how hard you try, how badly you wish, it never seems to be enough. I know I know, life's not all bad. In fact, life is good. Even wonderful when that special one comes along. But, is it fair to put all your dreams and wishes on that person. Everyone's different; so is their sensibility and thinking. Then why do we forget this, and go on expecting. Even though we know expectation is the root of all heartache, why do we still hope? Why do we keep building on them, to the point of becoming needy? Why does everything else become so irrelevant in life, and only that love makes sense? Why we let it grow so much that it begins to hurt? And why do we let LOVE stand between us?

Hi everyone,

I know I have been long absent from the blog. It's not that I couldn't access blogger, I just couldn't write. I even tried forcing myself to write something, but all in vain. I don't understand what the problem is. My days go almost totally non-productive, I procrastinate even more now. I don't feel like doing anything at all. Even technology repels now. I have no idea what's going on with me!

The other day I was thinking about getting married. Well, not actually getting married now. But, someday I will marry a special someone. How should he be? Knowing me, I am super complicated. So, to make easy for him, I thought upon a few things that he 'should' know. If he doesn't, he should learn. Because, these are the minimum requirements. ;)

Here's the list of requirements:
1. He should have patience to bear with my silence. Tough, I know.
2. He should be ready to fight with me to be with me. Till the end.
3. He should know how to give a good massage. Learn if you don't know.
4. He should get me a ring, from Tiffany's. Diamonds are forever.
5. He should never wake me up early in the morning. Rather, sleep in with me.
6. He should be ready with bags packed. I want to travel the world with you.
7. He should love me for who I am. Honestly.

I think this is a lot of help, giving pointers to be a good husband. :)

I was just thinking how much I love the number 7. It sort of attracts me every time I think of writing or doing anything that somehow relates to numbers. For instance, whenever I post any list, there have to be 7 things. I just can't settle with any less or more. Even the top scribbles that show on my blog are 7. And, the funniest coincidence is that he asked me out on 7th, in year '07. But, I guess I hurried a bit. I should have waited six months to say 'yes' for the beautiful 7-7-7. Now I won't get a chance until next thousand years...

Goals for me!!

I found this post about goals on Oh Mishka, and it inspired me to make a few for me as well.
And I think I should have a few goals and try to stick to them.

So, my set of goals is here:
Deadline: 1 month for now.
1. Quit wasting time on Facebook Games
2. No fast food. Strictly!
3. Be regular in exercising.
4. Start wearing heels.
5. Smile
6. Learn to cook something new.
7. Join a class (not decided what to join) and follow it sincerely.

I also want to add one more: Waking up early. But I really doubt myself on that! So....

I hope I stick to these till the end of Feb (minimum). Some goals will require a longer deadline though.

1. Sunshine. It was great to see the sun a few times this week!

1). What is your dream job?
Talking of dream job, it would be a writer, or something creative. But, as it says, it's a dream job. And in reality I have landed in rat-race of IT sector!

2). How do you take your tea or coffee?
I like to make my own coffee. But, I am cutting down on coffee these days. So, I prefer tea to coffee. And I love the tea that my mom makes.

3). What is your most important beauty secret?
I'm a super lazy person. I hardly ever do anything that can be considered in this segment. If I have to mention one thing, I think it would be Kohl I use on my eyes when I am going out.

4). If you had an all-expense paid vacation to anywhere, where would you go?
I would want to go Paris. Take a long relaxed vacation with my love.

5). If a genie popped up right now, what would your three wishes be?
I: To clear my exam with the score I want.
II: To be transported to my love, right now.
III: To marry him, and have a long happy life full of love together.

6). If you could only have one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza. Pizza. Pizza.

7). What one talent do you wish you had?
I wish I could sing, like those people who have this naturally great voice and skill.

I guess I won't. As much as I might want to at some point, I don't think there'd be anything left if I just go see the future. Without knowing the future, I have the will to try and get the things I want in my life. And I would like it this way only.

I started this blog while I was bedridden because I had broken my foot in road accident. A talk with a friend about blogging initiated it.

On this day, I got the best thing of my life.

My love. My best friend.

Can't believe 4 years have gone by! It still feels the same, as it did then. Even though we have grown up, got a little mature maybe, have got different ways right now, but nothing of it has affected how we feel. We're still the same- in love.

We are miles apart on this day, and it makes me a little sad, 'coz all I want is to be with him. And there's nothing I ever want more than being with him. Even if it takes years of wait, I'll gladly do so!

While I was away

I have been off blogger for 20 days, and during this so very long time I had all time for observing and thinking. And I learned . . .

1. I am badly, madly, addicted to internet.

2. Butter can make anything and everything delicious. I wonder how I never realized this until now. I love butter!

3. Driving in fog is pretty fascinating, and dream-like. ~~I would want to ignore the risk part.~~

4. Emotions are contagious. Be it happiness, or gloom, or jealousy, or any other feeling - they definitely are contagious. So, try being among the people you like. People who infuse good emotions in you.

5. Friends are the endorphin in life. Need them around more often!

6. Procrastination is my biggest enemy. I need to study, but I keep putting things off till a later time. And again I do the same.

7. One of the best things in life is to know you've got someone, unconditionally always there for you! ♥

I am known to learn things hard way.

Always.

And today, again, the history repeats itself.

I am having the worst headache I have ever had, and all credit goes to my temper, and someone else too - who got me angry in first place.

I got into an argument, and got angry. I will not go into details on this.

But then, I was so angry I couldn't even go to class, and came straight to home.

Worried a lot, shed a few tears on the way, and now my head is spinning since then.

It's like a constant torture.

Aaaarghhh! I hate headaches.

Moral of the story: Don't let others get to your head. It hurts!

Apart from that, today at library, I saw a book about Meditation.

I think I need a bit of meditation, as I have zero concentration, my mind wanders to every corner of world, I have terrible mood swings, and I worry like crazy.

I think I need to work on it.

And who said I couldn't write these days?
Make me angry, and see my typing speed!

Apart from that, too, the day remained quite uneventful.

Hello readers,
How's life treating you all?
Me? I have gone to studying now, for I have exams lining up ahead of me.
Today was my second day at class. First class for Maths. And I was surprised how piles of dust have settled on my brain in just one year. I had almost forgotten how I loved doing Maths, and as I went through the class, I was like, 'Oh yea, I knew this, I know this!' After much wait and hopes, I finally went to see the movie - Eat Pray Love. But, I hate to say that I was disappointed. I expected a lot more from the movie. Even if I hadn't read the book, I think in that case also the movie fails to qualify as up to expectations. *sigh* Now I think I should have settled with books only.

Talking of books, I have none. I have read the whole stock I had bought.

Please give me some suggestions. Pleeease...

Over the past year, my life has changed dramatically. I went from living with my boyfriend in a dead end job and miserable. To living on my own, with a new boyfriend, at a new job, and very happy with life. At first when I realized the changes that I had to make, I thought there was no way I could ever make anything happen and that I might just be stuck in this miserable life I had been living for so long.

Changing your life and taking risks and chances is probably the hardest thing anyone will ever do in life. Especially removing yourself from your comfort zone. I would say the taking the leap and breaking up with my ex AND moving out of my house, was not only the right thing to do, but very liberating in showing how independent I could be but also I am OK on my own. That I didn't/don't need anyone to dictate my life anymore and that the decision that I make are for me and my life and not having to worry about anyone else's.

Taking a look back on that whole mess I went through now, I really wonder how I had the guts to do what I did. Most people I know, would just stick it out and deal with the situation because it's just easier to cheat and not get caught then to change your life because and location and situation because you're unhappy. Not that he was a horrible person or that I was totally miserable all of the time, but he wasn't the right person for me and I am glad that I had enough courage to walk away from the situation before it was too late and I ended up married to a man who was the wrong person for me.

When I’ve made a big decision sometimes, before I go to bed that night, I ask myself: “Who am I going to be when I wake up?”

Those are the big changes in life. They’re the ones where you take a chance on something that could end up going horribly wrong, but you take that chance anyway.

For me, those are the ones where I’ve woken up and found myself doing my undergraduate work in North Carolina or my master’s degree in Budapest.

They’re the decisions that, when you look back you wonder what you were thinking but at the same time can’t imaging your life having played out any other way.

It is those moments, those decisions that define you. They punctuate your life, marking the points where you cast aside reason and decided to just live. It is within those moments that we catch a glimpse of who we truly are, and who we could become.

This is why we shouldn’t be afraid of change. It may seem scary, and every decision you make will not always turn out the way you had hoped, but change is what makes life worth living. We should embrace it with every ounce of our beings.

Dear God,

In a world of planets and stars; I'm a crescent.

I've always been a crescent…that does not change. I only get better at it.

I've got all the space for myself yet it just feels the same.

A very interesting word has always loomed in my head; "achieve". I constantly feel that I should be doing more, that there IS more to this. I'm always yearning to change something along with myself in the process.

As foolish as I were younger, I was fun to hang around and I know that because "fun" is out of bounds for me now.

But I already made my choice. I was gonna be a better person. I wanted to eliminate as much flaws as I can reach.

And I'm better yet barely having any friends now, or maybe any life.

So I often ask myself if it was all worth it. But I'd be still foolish if I were to believe it was me who induced the change, or that I can be careless again just because I feel like it.

But of course you knew that it was not my choice already.

We grow up. We experience events that shape our perception of the universe. We start seeing things differently, and all the things we thought were important we find now overrated.

We feel things that separate us from our previous thoughts and obligations arise...maybe forever.

But make no mistake; I'm not saying everybody gets to grow up. Some people just don't get the chance to.

But I did.

The word metamorphosis makes all the sense there is to me, the loneliness doesn't change though. I'm still a crescent.

I quite like being all grown up but I hate it.

And I hate the way I came to grow up and face all these sad truths.

PLEASE let her brain cells regenerate. PLEASE let them rest in peace. PLEASE let her dad's operation be successful, because I can bear no more changes in my not so peaceful world.

I understand this had to happen. I understand that it's the natural course of life, I already got the message and I'm not complaining because it's pretty much done if you say so. I only am asking to grow up without any more shocking events, because I changed enough and we both know it.

I'm pleading here for you to spare me all this pain because it's too much, even for me.

I have no one else to turn to so I ask you even if our relationship is not always so great. I only ask because you're the only one who's willing to listen to me and not feel so bored or disgusted.

Allow me to be a full moon. I'm too incomplete.

Whatever good things you're having in store for me; I want to feel them. Because now is the time I need them before another tragedy strikes me.

Just please make them all okay, because I care.

No suspense, Next Sunday is my birthday, if that's important anyhow.

Because to me it's not.

I'm feeling even worse than last year.

No friends, well maybe by then 2-3 may drop in but still.. I don't find the thought any helpful right now.

No one around, with whom I would feel happy that day.

And I am not even sure who all will be there.

It might just end up as a crap day full of relatives visiting as it is Dussehra- a festival that day.
I'm gonna miss a lot of people that day, my besties,, who have now headed off in different directions. Life.
And this whole idea of birthday isn't even thrilling anymore, maybe that's a part of growing up or whatever.
Aaaargh! I am so angry today, fuming red, now puffed eyes by the end of day. Can't even breathe normally.

Guess, it's just a bad day today. Ya, it is. FML.

Finally I finished reading Twilight yesterday.

I have seen all three movies, but I hadn't read the series.

And, like always, it turned out to be much better than the movie.

(Only now I had the faces and knew almost all their expressions.. too obsessed I guess!)

Finishing the book left me in a good mood, all dreamy..

Moments before I actually slept, I was laying on my bed, my eyes closed and I felt like I was floating..

I wasn't sleeping but I was already dreaming.

Oh, I wish so much to have that dreamy feeling every day.

I was beautiful, and romantic too.

I saw this picture today morning, and it made me happy. Being at home, without any routine, I had lost track of dates and didn't realize it's October! Wow, it's already October, My favorite month :o) I think I have told you the same thing earlier, last October. Don't remember, Go see here!

Plus, it's gonna be a good day and a good weekend. I'm planning a trip with my cousin, and I'm gonna forget every damn thing for at least these two days, and I'm going to have fun, roam around, click pictures, do all that makes me happy, and not worry a bit about any other thing!

change. it's is a funny thing, isn't it?

as with love, we're never quite sure how we feel about it, are we? depending on the day, depending on our frame of mind, depending on where we are or who we're with or whether we're feeling content in that moment, sometimes we fear it. or sometimes we seek it. or sometimes we flat out reject it. and other times, of course, we absolutely crave it.

personally, i've always leaned toward the craving side of things. it's all part of being a writer, i suppose: i'm constantly racking my imagination for ideas, dreaming of different moments and different realities. i lust after a year in paris, or a year in new york--a new job, a new hairstyle, a new pair of shoes. if i had it my way, life would be one constant makeover, new and fresh each and every day.

... actually, though, isn't life that way as it is? at least, on a smaller sort of scale? we're never quite the same as we were the day before. we have a new tiny bit of knowledge or a new attitude or maybe even a new sense of ourselves that we lacked yesterday. we're victims--or is it oh-so-fortunate recipients?--of constant, compelling change.
